Intern Spotlight Series: Introducing interns Anneliese Ladd, Vrisan Kuttin, Abdirahman Hashi, and James Reiss.

As we continue our Intern Spotlight Series, this week we are pleased to introduce Anneliese Ladd, Vrisan Kuttin, Abdirahman, and James Reiss. They each share a bit about their backgrounds, what led them to Intact, and what they hope to gain from their internship experience. We look forward to supporting their growth and impact this summer!

Anneliese Ladd

Anneliese is interning with the IT department this summer while studying at Wake Technical Community College. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, she’s looking forward to working on real-world projects. “I hope to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to real projects,” she shared. “I’m looking forward to applying and strengthening my abilities through hands-on experience.”

She was drawn to Intact not only by its global presence and strong reputation but also by its deep commitment to nurturing early-career talent. “Intact really stood out to me for how they support interns and young professionals,” she explained. “I felt confident that I’d gain practical experience in an environment that truly values growth.”

Outside of work, Anneliese enjoys watching television and recently watched the series, Severance. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she’d love to visit the Swiss Alps.

Vrisan Kuttin

This summer, Vrisan is interning with the IT department. A student at the University of Maryland and originally from Rocky Hill, Connecticut, he’s eager to gain insight into the company’s day-to-day operations and build new coding skills. “I’m excited to work with the team and meet my future colleagues,” he shared.

What drew Vrisan to Intact was the interview process itself. “During my interview, I heard a lot of things that got me excited to work for Intact,” he said. Vrisan is eager to learn more about the company and how the IT team supports its people and operations.

When not working or studying, he enjoys winding down with a good television series. He recently finished watching The Sopranos on HBO Max.

Abdirahman Hashi

Abdirahman is interning with the IT department while studying at the University of Minnesota. Originally from Somalia and now based in Minnesota, he’s looking forward to gaining hands-on experience in full-stack web development and learning from experienced developers. “I’m excited to build strong connections with the team and grow both technically and personally,” he shared.

Abdirahman was drawn to Intact’s strong company culture and emphasis on collaboration. “I love that Intact uses the Scrum methodology. It’s clear the team values flexibility, communication, and continuous learning,” he said. “It feels like the kind of environment where I can thrive and contribute meaningfully.”

If he could travel anywhere in the world he would visit The Swiss Alps. “I’d love to experience the breathtaking landscapes and peaceful atmosphere,” he shared.

James Reiss

This summer, James is interning with the Accident & Health team at our Morristown, NJ office. A student at the University of Miami, he’s eager to get hands-on experience in underwriting, risk analysis, and claims management. “I’m looking forward to strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills while seeing how data-driven decisions are made in a dynamic insurance environment,” he shared.

Originally from Wayne, New Jersey, James was drawn to Intact by its innovative approach and commitment to specialized insurance products. “Intact stood out to me for its fresh thinking and tailored solutions. That kind of focus really caught my attention,” he said.

If he had the chance to go anywhere in the world, James would explore the city of Florence, Italy. The last show he watched was Better Call Saul on Netflix.
