Earlier this month, our Accident & Health team supported Deirdre’s House, one of our local community engagement nonprofit partners, that provides resources to victims of child abuse and neglect. The team helped plan and execute a Back-to-School Science fair, and transformed the non-profit’s backyard into a science lab, complete with experiment stations, including slime making and baking soda volcanos. Food was generously donated by local pizza parlors.
It was an educational day filled with pizza and science that helped Deirdre House families focus on fun.

Our Accident & Health team proudly rolled up their sleeves to clean and decorate Deirdre’s House — one of our community engagement nonprofit partners — in preparation for its open house on April 9. The space was sanitized, organized, and adorned with blue pinwheels, the national symbol for Child Abuse Prevention Month.
In further support of the nonprofit’s vital mission, the A&H team launched a “Dine to Donate” campaign in April to raise funds and awareness for Deirdre’s House, which provides critical resources and services to children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The campaign gained strong local support, with four Morristown-based restaurants donating a portion of their proceeds on select dates. Flyers promoting the initiative were placed in 15 local shops, and the effort received a meaningful boost from Morristown Eats, a local social media influencer who helped amplify the campaign on the nonprofit’s social channels.
Intact’s Tina Angelone said, “It’s a privilege to support Deirdre’s House and stand alongside them to protect children against abuse and neglect. Giving back in even the smallest ways creates an enormous ripple effect we are proud to be part of.”
