We are pleased to wrap up our summer interns spotlight series! This week we welcome interns Dhaval Patel, Christopher Martin and Ping Zhong!
Dhavel has joined our IT department. Having previously worked with databases and ETL tools has made him interested in data and how it can be used to gain insights for businesses. During his internship at Intact, he hopes to understand the business side of things and how to use different analytical tools. He feels a collaborative working environment would help him learn these skills. Dhaval is from Mumbai, India, and is currently pursuing a master’s in Information Systems from Northeastern University. “I wanted to be part of Intact because of its positive working environment, and its values of integrity and respect. I hope to add value to the work we are doing as a team,” he says.
If Dhaval had a chance to go anywhere in the world, he would go to Iceland to explore its nature and beauty. The last TV series he watched was Stranger Things on Netflix.
Chris is interning at our Investment Management team. In this internship, he wants to gain a basic understanding of investments. “I am looking forward to working in a team, and challenging myself whenever possible,” he says. Chris is from Milton, Massachusetts and is currently attending Boston College. “My friend recommended that I look into the application process at Intact and apply. This led me to research on the background and performance of the firm. I was attracted to Intact because of its culture and felt this would be a great opportunity for me to work in a team”, he adds. Chris wishes to visit Italy one day. The last TV show he watched was Grey’s Anatomy.
Ping has also joined our Investment Management team. “As I considered where to apply for an internship, I contacted a recruiter at Intact. During the interviews, I had a chance to meet more people on the team. They all said they loved the working environment and felt they gained the most valuable professional experience. I hope I can come away with the same kind of experience and a better understanding of how this field operates,” she says. Ping is from Shandong, China and is studying at the University on Minnesota. If she had a chance to go anywhere in the world, she would visit her home. The last TV show Ping watched was Gotham.
Best of luck Dhaval, Christopher and Ping! We look forward to working with you and being a part of your career development.
