The University of Kansas School of Law and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Media Law Committee is hosting a Media and the Law Seminar from April 14-16.
The virtual event titled “Caught in the Web: Social Media, Privacy and You(Tube)” provides an opportunity to encourage dialogue about latest legal issues and developments in media, law and technology.
Emily Caron, Vice President of Media Liability Claims at Intact Entertainment is part of the governing and planning committee of the event. She will facilitate two panels on Thursday, April 15, titled “Area of Influence: Risks and Rewards of the Emerging Social Media Marketplace” and “Transparency in the time of COVID: Strategies for Effective Fact-Finding During a Global Pandemic”.
Emily also helped manage and plan other panels in the three-day event including the virtual “Speaker’s Dinner”.
The seminar gathers professionals, teachers and students from across the country in the legal, technology and media industries.
